The look above is from Michael Kors Spring 2008 Ready-to-Wear Collection. We love it because it's a timeless look! Black usually equates to timelessness. Every woman should have staple pieces in their closet such as (1) a black dress (2) a clutch purse (3) a cashmere sweater or wrap...by the way...CAPES are what's hot now (4) Mary Jane shoes, (5) a pair of dark class act denims, and (5) a pair of statement eye shades.

The "IT" thing is vintage pieces. Go VINTAGE this year. Being trendy is just soooo regular, sooooo expected. A fashion taker (think of a risk taker) goes for the unexpected. Go for a unique mix of timeless pieces with a trendy edge. Too trendy comes across as too cheap looking and pieced together. Effortless style is what you should go for. For 2008, go for classically trendy looks that are naturally stylish and creatively chic. Less is more for 2008 but GLAM your look up with accessories!!!! Bring on the bangle bracelets, gold chains, and statement watches.
